We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will bring a builder’s instinct to a team working at the intersection of data science, infrastructure, and AI. You will help us build new capabilities and features in our product suite, including things we haven’t yet imagined possible, and you will drive those changes forward into our customers’ hands. Some qualities we value most: Proficiency in either Go or Typescript as well as in either Python or R, and experience with backend systems, data tooling, and data science frameworks are helpful for this role. Prior domain expertise with data science as a practice may help, but it is not the only way. Regardless, you lead with empathy: you optimize for solving a real customer problem, not for technical purity. Interest in AI You are interested not just in using AI in your work, but building tools for customers to use AI in their own work. You also are curious, and you question when AI is not the right answer for a particular problem. You lean on your user empathy when building: knowing that some of our customers use and love AI in data science and others don’t or are restricted from using it. You are focused on delivering measurable value to customers. You have a strong technical background with a track record of shipping successful products. Ship code changes that meaningfully improves the experience for our customers. Participate in feature planning and provide feedback. and from listening to internal users, external users, and how our customers use our products. Point to new features you built that we hadn’t even dreamed were possible. We offer
a $400 monthly reimbursement for coworking space rental if you prefer to work away from home.
