Position Summary:

Using blueprints, schematics and detailed work instructions, assemble a variety of gear processing machines using various hand tools and building equipment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete a machine build by assembling components and sub-assemblies.
  • Assemble sub-components of machines.
  • Complete sub-assemblies on machines.
  • Inspect, clean, and assemble parts and equipment to ensure customer's specifications are met.
  • Use crane and various hand and power tools.
  • Identify and resolve issues regarding the assembly of the machine.
  • Utilize precision measurement equipment.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
  • Read and comprehend detailed work instructions.
  • Math skills such as add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Work productively within a team environment as well as individually.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience:
  • Read and understand mechanical or electrical blueprints/diagrams is required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient skill in the use of precision measurement tools a plus.

  • No travel required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employees are required to use proper lift assistance for any objects over 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
