We are seeking candidates who are willing to relocate or already live within a commutable distance to our Champaign, IL or Ontario, CA locations.

The eCommerce Associate Site Merchandiser is responsible for developing outstanding content and visual merchandising for our online businesses. Working closely with Brand Management, Product Development, Marketing and other colleagues, the eCommerce Associate Site Merchandiser completes research, creates, gathers, organizes, and edits a comprehensive set of product information so that shopping on our web site is intuitive and allows our customers to have a seamless transaction. The individual is also responsible for developing and improving site merchandising through navigation, filters, key words, product associations and graphics.

Working closely with content contributors and business owners, the eCommerce Associate Site Merchandiser shall ensure that the web sites meet and exceed the goal of providing the most comprehensive set of product information, accessories, and product associations to meet our customers’ needs.

The candidate will manage the day-to-day challenges including creating project schedules and prioritization of new products. This position shall continually identify opportunities to streamline the authoring and publishing processes of product content, product associations and its consistency.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Web Content Development

  • Make certain that product detail pages exist for all active products.
  • Work across brand and service teams to coordinate content availability and to determine how to best present our merchandise online.
  • Research, write, gather, organize, and edit product content for display on the detail pages.
  • Advise team of key product releases to ensure correct products receive appropriate exposure on site.
  • Categorize new products within site catalogs.
  • Ensure all product content is available online at the time any product is made available to consumers or retail partners.
  • Monitor site experience and customer feedback to identify and address content issues.
  • Identify supporting content (i.e. videos, graphics) to create a rich content experience for customers.
Site Merchandising
  • Begin learning elements of the Site Merchandiser’s daily activities.
  • Review and react to consumer feedback via reviews, surveys, email, and customer service team feedback.
  • Manage product associations to maximize cross and up-sell opportunities.
  • Review sales and site activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Make recommendations for user experience improvements.
Education and/or Experience
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud Experience preferred, but not required.
  • Associate degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Commensurate level of experience may waive the educational requirement.
  • 2-3 years of sales and/or marketing experience, preferably in an online retail environment.
  • Experience with content management systems and content management processes preferred.
  • Creative and analytical thinker and problem solver, thrive in fast paced environment, prioritize, and oversee multiple projects at once, have attention to detail, and work well with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to understand reports to draw conclusions and make business recommendations.
  • Radio control (RC) industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to understand and interpret RC and hobby trends and make recommendations on how to present products online.
  • Must have basic skills in desktop publishing applications, Excel, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and web publishing tools, Dream Weaver.
  • Project management experience and basic graphic design skills are a helpful, but not required.
  • Work well with diverse team of stakeholders, designers, SMEs and others.
  • Able to demonstrate record of continuously seeking opportunities to set and exceed goals.
