Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Birmingham, AL
Are you a driven Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for optimizing processes and driving continuous improvement?
Selectek is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join a team in Birmingham, AL, and play a key role in enhancing manufacturing processes.
About the Role:

Process Optimization: You will develop and implement 5S programs to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
Continuous Improvement: You will lead Kaizen events and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Operational Support: You will support plant operations to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
Capital Project Management: You will develop and implement capital expenditure projects.
Equipment Planning: You will determine manufacturing equipment needs.
Problem Solving: You will conduct root cause and corrective action analyses for manufacturing non-conformances.
Documentation & Standardization: You will create work instructions, standard work procedures, and process flows.

Who You Are:

Experienced Engineer: You have 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Engineering (preferred).
Process Improvement Focused: You are passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement.
Problem Solver: You possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Communicator: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: You are a collaborative team player.

Required Skills:

Development and implementation of 5S programs.
Continuous improvement through planning and leading Kaizen events.
Support plant operations to ensure KPI's are met.
Capital expenditure project development and implementation.
Determining manufacturing equipment needs.
Conducting root cause and corrective action for manufacturing non-conformances.
Work instructions, standard work, and process flows.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing).
Kaizen leadership experience.
Fabrication and Assembly experience.
Value stream mapping experience.
Mechanical Assembly experience.
Limited travel availability (10% or less).

Compensation Range

$80,000 - $100,000 base salary plus 5% annual bonus
