Position Overview:

Join our dedicated team in a dynamic role that combines clinical expertise with leadership in Speech Language Pathology. As a Senior Speech Language Pathologist, you'll not only provide exceptional therapy services but also play a vital role in mentoring staff and enhancing operational processes. Your responsibilities will include supporting and monitoring staff performance, leading educational initiatives, and contributing to process improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing staff and workflows to optimize rehab services in ICU, Emergency Center, and Oncology settings.
  • Facilitate staff training and competency evaluations through in-services and mentorship.
  • Participate in the hiring and orientation process for new therapy staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintaining a Culture of Safety and meeting Joint Commission standards.
  • Work towards enhancing the quality of therapy services while achieving financial targets.

Qualifications:

We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree and Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
  • Experience in evaluating and treating adult and pediatric patients with neurological speech and language disorders, including but not limited to aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, and dysphagia.
  • Knowledge in handling cases involving head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognitive impairments, TBI, and dementia.
  • Current licensure in Speech Pathology in Michigan or a temporary license during Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • AHA BLS certification is required.
