Senior Staff Accountant

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Arlington, VA.
Location: Hybrid Remote (2-3 Days per week in office)
The successful candidate will be accountable to:
- Recording and processing of accounts payable and cash receipts related to customer billing
- Ensuring all invoices and employee reimbursements are on-time and in accordance with policies, expense codes, and cost centers
- Maintaining accurate and compliant records
- General financial reports analysis
- Reconciling balance sheets and resolving discrepancies
- Supporting audits request and executing corrective action plans
- Processing payroll including bi-weekly timesheets, setting up new users in Deltek Time & Expense, and assigning charge codes
- Working with employees and management to make adjustments and ensure Total Time Accounting compliance
- Delivering exceptional service for our employees, customers and subcontractors
- Collaborating with the HR team on fringe benefits, garnishments, tax withholdings, and other areas impacting payroll
- Supporting the Controller and CEO with preparing and reviewing financial statement reports, tax schedules, budgets, and monthly/year-end close-out procedures using CostPoint
- Drafting internal and external communication
Experience, Education & Training:
- 3-5 years of experience working within Deltek Costpoint
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and related legislation, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), in support of the government contracting services industry
- Exceptional analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, etc.
