Job Number: R0210029

Data Analyst, Senior

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your data analysis skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on the mission and use data for good? Do you have the drive to understand your customer's environment and how to leverage data to support their mission? Your ability to turn real-world data into actionable metrics makes you an integral part of customer-focused solutions.

As a Data Analyst on our team, you'll use your communication skills and analytical expertise to create real-world impact. Your expertise with data analytics and visualization support will be vital as you develop strategies for collecting, transforming, cleaning, and modeling data with the goal of identifying meaningful trends and supporting decision-making. You will identify and collect data sources, analyze and extract key information, and evaluate and monitor quality across portfolios to meet organizational objectives and requirements. You'll help develop and document multi-year plans necessary to mitigate or resolve modeling and simulation capability gaps in support of functional community user requirements. You will assist in the development of scenarios that enable modeling and simulation stakeholders to more rapidly develop and reuse simulations. You'll work closely with clients to understand the requirements behind every effort, and then dig into their data and documentation to help find the pieces of their information puzzle. You will run analytical tools, clean and transform data, conduct research, draft, review, and edit analytical reports, and effectively communicate results to the client in support of their decisions. You'll guide teammates and help use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions. Ultimately, you'll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with data analysis, data science, or data analytics in a dynamic environment
  • 3+ years of experience communicating and presenting analyses to all levels of leadership, both in written and verbal forms

  • Experience using data methodologies to generate cross-functional solutions through collection, interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of large data sets
  • Knowledge of good data principles, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and wrangling
  • Ability to clearly convey complex data insights and technical findings into easily recognized narratives, including in graphical, verbal, and written forms
