Node/React Full Stack Developer

3-5 year experience Sr. Full Stack (React + Node) Software Development Engineer (at least 1 dev lead)

- React.js

- Strong javascript \ typescript

- Experience in complex environment (ex. AmFam has 33 REST APIs so involves wrangling data.

- Experience working on scrum teams (they have 8-12 ppl on scrum team)

- Creating REST web services

- Agile / SAFe agile experience (2 week sprints)

- AWS (Ideally Lambda, Dynamo DB, Athena, Cloud Formation, Docker, S3, Fargate, Elastic Beanstalk)

Preference:

- Preference for candidate local to Madison, WI for face-to-face meetings as we move to Hybrid meetings

Must be able to deploy own code (create & maintain CI/CD pipelines) to AWS

Required Skills:

- Strong demonstrated experience in full stack JavaScript development

- Knowledge of multiple JavaScript frameworks (Node/Express, React/Redux, Angular) with demonstrated expertise in at least one (preferably React/Redux and Node/Express)

- Demonstrated experience with distributed service architectures

- Experience in deploying new production web applications/server architectures

- Experience with contributing to software design and development teams

- Experience in all phases of the development lifecycle including deployment is preferred

- Experience in data integration utilizing web services and APIs (e.g. REST, SOAP, JSON to Acord XML) to either exchange information or create integrated reports

- Knowledge of automated testing suites such as Karate and Selenium

- Ability and Willingness to review others code

- Ability and Willingness to mentor less experienced devs (Sr. Engineer)

- Ability to optimize code, benchmark performance, and systematically analyze areas for

improvement (Sr. Engineer)

- Ability to organize and analyze data both in reports and in web-based environments

- Ability to speak and write effectively

- Ability to integrate into a geographically dispersed team environment

- Ability to work effectively with quality assurance team members to create test plans

- Create CI/CD pipelines to deploy code to AWS
