The cardiac sonographer is responsible for performing professional quality cardiac ultrasound procedures including M-MODE, 2D (real time), PW/CW DOPPLER, COLOR FLOW IMAGING, TRANSESOPHAGEAL AND CONTRAST ULTRASOUND studies.
Requires:
- Tests are performed according to the standards / guidelines of the American Society of Echocardiography
- Progressive experience in Cardiac ultrasound (echo) procedures required, preferably 3+ years
- Completion of a Cardiac Diagnostic Ultrasound education program, with specialized knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, physics, principles and procedures.
- :Tuesday and Friday, 10 hour shifts. Rotation of on-call coverage, approximately once every 8 weeks.
- Registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer (RDCS)
