We are looking for a GC Construction Estimator with 10 years of experience for our Construction Company located in Buckner, KY. We know that "Lasting construction starts with a solid safety foundation."

Our ideal candidate will have experience working in General Construction AND Design Build. An emphasis on manufacturing projects and experience with design team coordination and preconstruction are must haves with this exciting opportunity. Of course, you must also be able to pass all required pre-employment screens including a background check with MVR (driving record) and eleven-panel drug screen.

Here is what we are looking for and need:

• Prepares cost estimates at various stages of design from schematic and budget to detailed take-off and pricing.
• Builds and maintains healthy and long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and other project managers.
• Communicates with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors efficiently; and prepares economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Builds rapport with client representatives and ensure scope of project and outside business forces affecting the project is fully understood and that specific deliverables are fully understood with performance standards and other relevant criteria.
• Participates in project meetings, reviewing schedules, and preparing reports.
• Visits project sites, warehouses, and other facilities necessary to complete estimates.
• Solicits the input of the Safety, Heath and Quality Department regarding what anticipated safety requirements will be needed for the Project.
• Estimates projects foreseeable safety requirements and costs and includes with estimate.
• Develops and maintains the Master Project Schedule. Adjusts critical path and project milestones as required.
• Actively tracks each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path.
• Prepares various RFP's needed for vendor and contractor services for the complete project.
• Manages project financials and prepares to report current budget / cost status and the anticipated final cost.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10 years of Estimating General Construction AND Design Build General Construction AND Design Build experience a HUGE PLUS.
• Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar position
• Sound mathematical skills and computer literacy ability
• High aptitude with computers, including, but not limited to the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Excellent self-management and organizational skills
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of all facets of the construction process
• Ability to plan and see the "big picture"
• Competent in conflict and crisis management
• Leadership and human resources management skills
• Ability to work as part of a goal-oriented team
• Knowledgeable of the Company Safety, Health and Quality Program and any applicable federal, state regulations and capably implement them in the work environment.
• Knowledgeable of proper safety practices that pertain to the particular type of work to be performed and the environment in which it is to be performed.
