ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY
Shiawassee County is strategically located along I-69 and is a short drive from I-75. It is about halfway between Lansing, Michigan (home to Michigan State University) and Flint, Michigan (home to University of Michigan-Flint and Kettering University). According to the 2000 census, the total population of Shiawassee County is nearly 80,000 with a median age of 36.4.
Owosso and the surrounding area is home to vibrant downtown districts with shopping, dining and entertainment establishments and expanding arts and cultural offerings.
