PAR Case Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The PAR Case Analyst is responsible for the investigation and resolution of PAR files that encounter issues in PAR denials, and other requests for additional information that slows the PAR approval process. This role works collaboratively with other internal staff, speech language pathologists (SLPs), insurance reviewers, and family members of the insured individual to analyze insurance-related concerns to determine the appropriate response to achieve a successful approval, and/or learn from decision outcomes from the insurance firm for future funding opportunities and continuous improvement of the funding process.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Identifying and categorize PAR issues and denials with an expectation to resolve an achieve an approval in timely and efficient fashion
  2. Ensure systematic changes to insurance records accurately reflect the PAR process required for success with future cases/files
  3. Collect and analyze information pertaining to insurance PAR issues/denials to improve success rate for Closed-Funded files.
  4. Address issues with a sense of urgency and drive for efficient conclusions to each critical files PAR case
  5. Seek resolution by coordinating communication and resolution across several stakeholders.
  6. Provide clear, accurate, and consistent responses to funding customer and insurance stakeholder inquiries to ensure the inquiry is properly resolved within a timely manner
  7. Maintain HIPPA and FRPA laws in accordance with the compliance requirements of AbleNet
  8. Work collaboratively with the medical service staff to provide an improved customer centric experience as well as better productivity all while using Salesforce and other applications used by the department to facilitate workflow
  9. Demonstrate the core medical service department philosophies: Listen, Learn and Lead
  10. Other duties as assigned by manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a therapist capacity (SLP, OT, PT)
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years in medical funding


Physical, Time, Presence & Other Requirements

Physical:

Standard Office Environment: Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Time:

Full-Time, Exempt employees work an average of 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Presence:

Flexible: This role can be performed in a fully onsite, fully remote, or hybrid capacity.
