Personnel Security Specialist

Key Role:

Processes and maintains firm and government inspectable records and procedures for employees to obtain and maintain government security clearances or positions of trust. Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with personnel security standards and procedures, including Governing Eligibility for Access to Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP)

  • Knowledgeof the fundamental aspects of federal government security procedures

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Ability to obtain Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) Certification within 6 months of hire

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent time management skills

  • Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
