Job description: We have a client located in the Pittsburgh PA area that has an immediate need for a Senior Electrical Engineer. Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred • 10+ years experience in the design and coordination of electrical systems • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical codes and regulations • Proficient in AutoCAD, and other design software • Must be detail oriented and quality driven • Must have strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical construction documents Preferred: • PE license preferred (not required) • Proficient in Revit Job order details: The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and coordination of electrical systems for MEP projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the industry and work closely with project managers and other engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Design and coordinate electrical systems for MEP projects • Ensure that all designs are compliant with local codes and regulations • Provide technical expertise to project managers and other engineers • Work closely with clients and contractors to ensure project success • Manage project timelines and budgets • Survey existing site conditions and capturing those conditions utilizing a 3D laser scanner • Create complete and accurate drawings, plans, diagrams, details & notes for use in construction document packages • Conduct site visits and provide support during construction • Review and approve shop drawings and submittals • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance This is a direct hire permanent role and pay will be based on experience level.
