The Medication Technician is responsible for administering medications and treatments in assigned area.

Responsibilities
• Maintains accurate records of medication and treatments given. Be alert and active in supporting facility's commitment to safe practices, infection control, and respect for residents' rights.
• Set up and pass oral medications as prescribed.
• Make proper chart entries regarding residents' medications.
• Take and record residents' temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rate.
• Stock and prepare medication cart for rounds and always observe safe and secure practices.
• Observe and notify nurse of any negative drug effects or interactions and assist in resident care emergencies.
Qualifications
• Valid state CNA or home care aid certification.
• 1-2 years working in a memory care facility preferable.
• Valid CPR/First aid card.
• Covid vaccinated
