Formulation Lab Technician

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Formulation Lab Technician for an opportunity in Tarrytown NY 10591.

Position Title: Formulation Lab Technician

Location: Tarrytown NY 10591

Anticipated Start Date: Tentative 08/05/2024

Expected Duration: 6 Months Contract

Job Type: Full Time 40 Hours Contract, Onsite

Pay Range: $19/hr on W2 (must be able to work on W2 without sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Formulation of all types of Hair, Skin & Sun Care products including but not limited to gels, creams, lotions, serums, beach products, sticks, sprays and balms.
• Understanding of emulsion, polymers and surfactant technology, and general cosmetic technology as well as formulation techniques.
• amiliarity with laboratory equipment and procedures. Specifically pH meter, Brookfield Viscometer, stand mixers, and Silverson homogenizers Perform and track prototype stability and compatibility. Maintain, organize and order lab supplies/raw materials as necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, Chemical engineering or related field with 0-1 years of formulation experience. Or be currently enrolled in a matriculated program geared towards a four-year science degree. Be able to follow a set formula and procedure provided by senior chemists to create finished formulations.
• Must have good problem solving, decision making, and organization skills and ability to work well in a team environment ? Ability to maintain a laboratory notebook, as a professional legal document.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs, and work at bench for 8 hours per day

Worker Schedule

Monday - Friday hours / 8 hours per day/week

Entry level experience is fine.

Standard drug screen

Bench lab technician work. Will work alongside Sr. Chemists.

BS degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field required.
