Job Description: Interventional Radiology Technician/Tech Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, body-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist. -Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons. -Groin management post-intervention. Education Requirement: HS Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Required Certifications & Licensure: ARRT license required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Must have 2 years of experience. Interventional Radiology experience is required. Minimum 1 year prior experience as a licensed Radiology Tech required. Strong knowledge of Floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines. The ability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases. The ability to critically think during interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist. The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical records and send images to Sectra/PACs system. Strong communication skills using closed-loop communication. The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for caseload. Demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. Ability to professionally and effectively communicate information to patients required. Strong organizational skills required. Ability to handle multiple tasks required. Schedule Notes: 4 10hr Day shifts a week. Mandatory Call. Call requirements are every 4-5 weeks- they are on call for 7 days starting Monday 730pm- Monday 730am. Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes for Traumas.
