RN Nights Float Pool (Full Time) Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, and Supports Johnston, Iowa Apply Description As a nurse at ChildServe, you will join a team of caring professionals with a mission of providing needed services to children and young adults age birth to 30. This position will support our rehab and complex medical units. When You'll Work 6pm-6am Four-week scheduling rotation, every 4th weekend, 2 holidays per year Unit location will be determined based on need. PTO is frontloaded and starts accruing immediately What You'll Do Within the nursing scope of practice, physician’s orders, and the care plan, make decisions and deliver a full range of nursing care based on the fundamentals of the nursing process. Maintain accurate, completed, and timely records as defined by nursing standards of practice and ChildServe policies and procedures. Communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with residents, physicians, families, school personnel, ChildServe staff, and others to assure assigned child’s care needs are assessed, communicated, and met. Provide oversight of the care delivered by Licensed Practical Nurses and paraprofessionals. Provide training to patients, families, and staff as needed to help advance the skills and knowledge of all people associated with a child’s care delivery. Demonstrate good stewardship of ChildServe equipment, supplies, and environment. Complete other duties as assigned. What You'll Need Current valid license as a Registered Nurse in Iowa 1 year of nursing or 1 year of ChildServe experience required Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand. Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading, writing and speaking the English language A big heart for helping kids with special healthcare needs live a #greatlife Why ChildServe?
