Advanced Therapy Practicum Externship

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides brief psychotherapy and intake assessments to undergraduate and graduate students, under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist; participates in weekly extern seminars and individual supervision appointments; available for consultation with faculty and staff.

This is a part-time externship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs intake assessments (2 per week) to determine treatment needs and recommendations for students presenting to Counseling Services.
  • Conducts individual brief counseling and psychotherapy, maintaining a caseload of approximately 10 students per week.
  • Participates in weekly supervision sessions and training seminars with Counseling Services staff.
  • Tabulates records of clinical activity each semester.


REQUIRED HOURS: 20 hours per week (2.5 days, Tuesday mornings mandatory)

QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in a doctoral psychology program; must have previously completed 2 years of supervised practica
