Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Polysomnography Technician to join our Sleep Medicine team This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, benefit eligible position. At Central Maine Medical Center, our highly trained team – including board-certified pulmonologists, technologists and other sleep specialists – use proven tool and techniques to identify and treat a full range of sleep disorders. We’re home to a full-service sleep center right here in Lewiston, with national accreditation by the Academy of Sleep Medicine. Under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Coordinator the Polysomnography Technician administers diagnostic testing to patients with known or suspected sleep disorders. The technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic Polysomnography in accordance with physicians’ orders and department policies and procedures.Regulatory Requirements: Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure preferred. Graduate of AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy , completion of Polysomnography program, or relevant experience. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required. A minimum of one-year Polysomnographer is preferred. Registered Polysomnographer (BRPT) within 2 years of hire.
