Elwyn Adult Behavioral Health Services is hiring for a Clinician to provide substance abuse rehabilitation, individual counseling and staff resource education in a therapeutic setting assisting adult consumers with a primary diagnosis of mental illness and co-existing addictions disorders to achieve social, economic, emotional and personal independence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete substance abuse assessments for all clients
- Integrate a variety of treatment modalities and clinical interactions
- Facilitate dual diagnosis treatment group on as needed basis, focusing on education/motivation, relapse prevention, and evidence based practices
- Assesses mental health status, safety and any potential medication contraindication
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- MA degree in rehabilitation counseling, psychology, social work or closely related human services discipline required
- One (1) year directly providing addiction services counseling work experience
- CADAC or equivalent addictions certificate desired.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions
- Must be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols
- Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated (basic, intermediate, advanced) experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Access, Publisher and report-writer experience preferred
- Experience using and knowledge of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
