ABOUT THIS POSITION:

As a Lead Developer at INflow Federal, you will play a pivotal role in empowering DoD customers with cutting-edge AI/ML solutions. Your primary focus will be on leading the development team with a strong emphasis on Python and CI/CD pipeline experience. Your technical mastery and strategic foresight will drive our commitment to data modernization and cyber resilience, transforming data into actionable insights and groundbreaking solutions.

You will be an active participant in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetings. The software developer will be responsible for developing and deploying custom solutions to the customer's enterprise environment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
    • Actively participate in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetings, guiding the team through the software development lifecycle.
Software Development and Deployment:
Research, design, develop, test, and modify enterprise-wide systems and applications software. Develop and deploy custom solutions within the customer's enterprise environment. Maintain documentation to support software development policies, standards, and procedures.
System Monitoring and Security:
Establish and improve system monitoring while adhering to established security protocols within development, test, and production systems. Utilize the customer's enterprise DevSecOps pipeline to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Recommend changes to improve established application processes. Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code, ensuring designs comply with specifications. Prepare and produce releases of software components, writing automated unit and integration test cases to evaluate code quality.
Project Management and Agile Practices:
Work under the guidance of the Scrum Master to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and delivery. Provide progress updates to the Scrum Master and the team, managing any delivery risks or concerns. Plan future sprints, define stories, and estimate efforts, working on projects involving new and existing systems, solutions, and processes.
Technical Support and Consultation:
Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions. Align with the customer's strategies and collaborate with the team to plan and execute high-impact projects. Required Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Expertise in Python, with experience in other languages such as React and Java being advantageous.
    • Strong understanding of DevSecOps and software/application development processes.
    • Experience building and working with container images (Kubernetes, Docker).
    • Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus.
    • Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
    • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems and work collaboratively with a small team.
    • Experience deploying to on-prem/data center infrastructure.
    • Daily use of Jira and Confluence.
Desired Skills:
    • Experience with ElasticSearch, GoLang
    • Experience deploying to RedHat Openshift Container Platform
    • Experience writing infrastructure as code (Helm/Terraform)
    • Experience with GraphDBs (Neo4j/RedisGraph)
    • Experience with Messaging Systems (NATS Jetstream/Pulsar)
Required Education and Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 6 additional years of experience in information technology.
