Mental Health Workers - full time and part time positions available on inpatient units for days, evenings and night shifts. The Mental Health Worker (MHW) is a member of an interdisciplinary team who carries out the assigned tasks and duties required to provide holistic care to the patients, organize and coordinate patient activities and contribute to the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu.
All Mental Health worker positions are provided with
Thorough training of the department-specific duties, policies and procedures;
Cross-training for adult, adolescent and child populations providing the ability to work well with each population and be adaptable/flexible with daily assignments.
Two-day training provided in crisis intervention in order to participate in acute situations throughout Behavioral Health services.
Applicants must be capable of running, twisting, arching and lifting.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be a high school graduate. Further education in psychology or other health related field is preferred. One year of related experience preferred but on-the-job training will be provided. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ideal candidate will have strong communication and writing skills and be able to establish good boundaries.
We offer a competitive salary based on experience. Our generous benefit package, which is offered to employees working a minimum of 22.5 hours/week, includes but not limited to: generous vacation & holiday package, employer funded retirement plan, 401k, health & dental insurance, life insurance, flexible spending plan for both healthcare and dependent care expenses.
Starting salary scale, $16.83 - $25.50 (additional $1.07/hr for evening shift and $1.36/hr for night shift)
