We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumbing Foreman to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of all plumbing tasks on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a rich background in both rough and finish plumbing, with the ability to lead and manage a team of skilled plumbers. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity for career growth within our company.
Responsibilities:
As a Plumbing Foreman, your main duties will include:
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the plumbing team to ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
2. Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required.
3. Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in accordance with state and local plumbing codes.
4. Conducting regular inspections of plumbing systems and identifying any issues or potential problems.
5. Training and mentoring junior plumbing staff, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles.
6. Ensuring the safety of the team by implementing and enforcing strict safety guidelines and procedures.
7. Communicating effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues that arise.
8. Resolving any plumbing-related issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Plumbing Foreman role, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a plumbing role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management position.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of rough and finish plumbing, including the ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
3. A valid plumbing license and a thorough understanding of local and state plumbing codes.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
7. A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
8. Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items and working in a variety of weather conditions.
