Hours:Varied; Monday-Friday shifts vary from 8am-9:00pm. Rotating weekend coverage; Holidays and travel as needed.

Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
The Journeys and Adventures that Await
• Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Obtain patient's pertinent history.
• Maintains crash cart.
• Maintain and stock inventory.
• Maintain OSHA regulations.
• Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.
• Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules.
• Report to lead technologist for work assignments.
• Will assist with film quality control. Required to work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the department.
• Assists and relieve manager expediting the patient work flow through the department.
Qualifications

Level of Education
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six month to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be AART registered or eligible also IDNS licensed.
• CPR certification
- 6 months - 2 years related experience
