Required & Preferred Skills
Below is a breakdown of the lab departments. While the below are the main tasks for the department, these workers will be entry-level and will mainly be assisting and training. Please check the job description on the req for the department.
Pre-production : entry level, but will use computers. This department is where they download the orders, pick the lenses, and get it ready for the surface department
Surface: Surface is the tracing of the frame and the cutting of the lenses in a machine. Automation and a lot of equipment-. (entry level in production setting skills )
AR Coating : AR is the coating department that uses an 'oven' type of machine to coat the lenses. This department also has a sandblaster which is how they make the lenses smooth.
Finishing: the lenses get mounted onto the frame -but be able to use small tools (good experience is mechanics, carpenters, anyone who uses tools is usually a good fit in this department)
Shipping : using computers/pallets to pack items and get ready for pick up
