Job Title: Civil Project Manager Job Description Seeking a seasoned Civil Project Manager to lead our high-value infrastructure projects, with a focus on supervising on-site Project Superintendents and Project Engineers. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including the preparation of notification documents for utilities, overseeing the technical, economic, and operational planning, and engaging in client negotiations. The successful candidate will be involved in the estimating process, optimize operations with Project Engineers, and control the progress of operations to meet objectives. Collaboration with the Division Manager and Contracts Department to determine suppliers and subcontractors, developing project schedules, and leading weekly project updates are key elements of the role. Commitment to quality, change order management, budget completion, expense control, billing oversight, and final report preparations are also critical. The role extends to training Construction Engineers, recruiting candidates, performing employee evaluations, proposing technical solutions, maintaining client relationships, and participating in project acceptance. Upholding safety standards and compliance with company policies and procedures is mandatory. Hard Skills 10+ years in heavy civil construction 5+ years of project management experience Civil Engineering or related engineering degree (preferred) Experience overseeing teams of 10-15 people and coordinating with major subcontractors Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (preferred) Soft Skills Strong leadership and supervisory skills Excellent negotiation and client management abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Skilled in budget management and financial oversight Commitment to safety and quality standards Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida. Work Environment The Civil Project Manager will enjoy robust support, reporting directly to senior management and working alongside an assistant project manager, superintendent, intern, and clerical staff. Projects typically range from $25M to $100M, with the immediate Main Street project valued at $25M.
