Grocery clerks maintain product knowledge and provide accurate information to customers on location of items in store. They also ensure all products are sufficiently stocked and displayed according to expiration dates with product labels front facing and ordered neatly so customers are able to quickly see the items..

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting customers to the appropriate aisle or shelve to assist with purchasing decisions
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Ensuring the store is clean, safe and ready for shoppers
  • Prepare store displays and ensure that products are accurately labeled
  • Follows written and verbal instructions from managers.
