Banyan Treatment Centers, a leader in addiction treatment, is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) to join our team in Castle Rock, CO. This position requires a valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle history

As a BHT, you’ll play a vital role in the daily operations of the facility and collaborate with the Treatment Team. You will monitor patient activities, assist with patient schedules, conduct 1:1 interaction, and maintain accurate records of patient behaviors and whereabouts.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Full-time, three 12-hour shifts per week; Part-time, two 12-hour shifts per week.
  • Location: Castle Rock, CO (On-site).
  • Compensation: $17 - $20 hourly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional care and support to patients.
  • Monitor and document patient behaviors to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Conduct headcounts, as instructed by Management, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Promote and support patient safety consistently.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deescalate situations.
  • Provide emotional support to patients, referring to Clinical.
  • Communicate with Nursing and Medical if medical assistance is needed.
  • Assist with patient transportation, as needed.
  • Conduct urine drug screenings and supervise medication self-administration.
Requirements:
  • Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, in compliance with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
Preferences:
  • Work experience in the field of behavioral and/or mental health treatment.
  • An associate's degree (or higher) and/or relevant certification (CPRS).
Abilities and Skills:
  • Adherence to Healthcare Code of Ethics and familiarity with Joint Commission standards.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to assess potential risks and report critical changes to clinical staff.
  • Accurately maintain detailed records of patient interactions, progress, and incidents.
  • Strong attention to detail in monitoring and documenting client behaviors to support patient safety.
  • Maintain clear professional boundaries with patients while fostering a supportive environment.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and assist in physical tasks such as client transportation or room checks.
  • Basic understanding of addiction, recovery, co-occurring mental health disorders, and common treatment methodologies.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of patients and the facility.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their families, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
  • Empathetic to the trials, tribulations, and victories of the recovery journey.
