  • Deliver safe and direct care to a diverse group of patients, ranging from neonate to geriatric age groups
  • Work within the nursing process, including implementing individualized care plans and administering medication
  • Assist with special tests and procedures and institute emergency measures as necessary
  • Promote patient safety by identifying and reporting any potential risks or concerns
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients/families, adhering to both hospital and departmental policies and standards

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Current RN license in New Mexico or allowed by reciprocal agreement
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
  • Strong communication and critical-thinking skills

Physical Demands:
Heavy work exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical demands are in excess of those for medium work.

Working Conditions:
May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment.
