Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: variable shift including weekends, overnight and afternoon shifts weekend call rotation mandatory holiday coverage mandatory Variable Shift On Call and Holiday Rotations Mandatory Rotation to offsite facilities when needed. Performs CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. Knowledge in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy. Practices proper sterile technique. Adheres to infection control guidelines. Position Summary: As a CT Tech, you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care in a clinic or practice environment. A CT Tech operates head or body X-ray scanners that create a computer-generated cross-sectional image. What you will do: Room set up and patient preparation Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations Perform office tests and administrative duties What you will need: Position Purpose Operate head or body X-ray scanners that create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan. Interacts efficiently, professionally and courteously with all contacts. Draws up requested medication/contrast media and accurately records the administered amount and time as per the physician's orders. Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician. Recognizes signs of contrast reaction and responds with appropriate action. Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards). Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technologist is required. Experience as a CT Technologist is preferred Excellent customer service skills is required Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations is required Licensure: Florida CRT Radiology license is required.
