Shift:
  • Saturday: 5:00 pm - 6:00 am
  • Sunday: 5:00 pm - 6:00 am
  • Monday: 5:00 pm - 6:00 am

Duties:
  • Perform all radiologic procedures, including computer entry, quality control, and related tasks.
  • Maintain related paperwork and supplies.
  • Conduct radiographic examinations efficiently, including patient release, education, and preparation.
  • Determine accurate exposure factors to obtain diagnostic-quality radiographs and adapt factors for various patient conditions.
  • Demonstrate understanding and maintenance of radiographic equipment, including basic troubleshooting and reporting performance issues.
  • Act as a resource for Radiologists, Physicians, fellow Technologists, and Support Staff.
  • Provide instruction to radiography students in a fair and unbiased manner.
  • Verify patient information in PACS and ensure timely verification of studies.
  • Work independently after 4:00 or 5:00 pm.
  • Conduct general x-rays for outpatients, inpatients, and the emergency department (ED).
  • Work in the surgery suite as needed.
  • Assist and support PM and On-Call CT Technologists whenever possible.
  • Work any holidays that fall within the rotation, taking call in the morning until the shift begins, with no additional on-call requirements beyond holidays.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography school.
  • NJ State RT License.
  • ARRT Certification.
  • BLS Certification.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician.
  • Knowledge of imaging equipment setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Current understanding of clinical practice trends, healthcare informatics, and technology advancements.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
