Controls Engineer

Description
The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, installing, and troubleshooting control systems for industrial automation applications, including PLCs, HMIs, robots, and drives. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary project team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customers' satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Must have industrial control experience and knowledge of the following:
- PLC programming (Allen Bradley required, Siemens, Omron, others advantageous)
- Robotics programming (UR and Fanuc advantageous)
- Control system design including electrical components specification
- Machine and motion control
- HMI design
- IIoT and networking
- Machine safety
- Collaborate with sales, engineers, project managers, and production team to ensure project success
- Must be flexible as well as willing and able to maintain multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred. Associate's degree and equivalent experience required
- Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, typically via automobile but occasional plane travel may be required
