Description
Job Summary
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction, and that product quality standards are met.
Duties and responsibilities
The role of the Housekeeper is to be involved with cleaning public spaces and guest rooms to meet brand and IHM standards.
Guest Relations Management
- Be readily available and approachable for all guests.
- Take proactive approached when dealing with guest's concerns.
- Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times.
- Knows local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel.
- Recognizes and reports potential safety hazards, such as broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.
- Understands and follows policies and procedures for the hotel's key control system.
- Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and IHM standards.
- Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits and disturbances.
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace on housekeeping cart when appropriate.
- Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning toilets, and rearranging the room after guests check out.
- Delivering soiled linens to the laundry department.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Working Conditions
Hotel team members are generally exposed to a variety of shifts that include a variety of hours, weekends, and holidays due to the 24-hour operation of a hotel. The common workplace environment in hotels is fast-paced, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and managers. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.

Salary Description
$12.41 an hour
