The Main Place, Inc. is a peer run mental health and wellness center that promotes health and wellness in a safe, secure, nurturing environment. Consumers have access to peer support, socialization, education and training lead by consumers sharing their lived experiences. Through these experiences, consumers are better equipped to lead healthy lives and participate in their communities.

Your role as a Licensed Social Worker

As a Licensed Social Worker at The Main Place, you will play a crucial role in conducting mental health evaluations to assess the needs of our customers. Your expertise in mental health counseling will be instrumental in providing therapy and support to individuals facing various challenges. We prioritize trauma-informed care, and your compassionate approach will help create a safe and supportive environment for those in need. By incorporating trauma-informed techniques into your practice, you will help our clients heal and thrive.

What we're looking for in a Licensed Social Worker

To excel in this role at The Main Place, candidates must possess a Current State of Ohio LSW license, demonstrating their commitment to upholding professional standards in social work. Being trauma-informed is essential, as the position requires a deep understanding of trauma's impact on individuals and how to provide appropriate care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for building rapport with clients and collaborating effectively with colleagues. Proficiency in utilizing relevant software and tools for documentation and case management is expected to ensure efficient and accurate record-keeping.

A compassionate and empathetic approach, coupled with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, will contribute to the success of serving our customers effectively.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Current State of Ohio LSW. Must be Trauma Informed.
