Our Lifting Equipment Inspectors or Independent Examiner’s play a pivotal role in the compliance of our Lifting equipment and as such you’ll visit our branches offering thorough examinations of fleeted lifting equipment in line with LOLER and PUWER regulations Key Responsibilities Carrying out thorough examinations of all company and customer owned lifting and material handling equipment, ensuring they reach the required standard throughout the branch network and on customer sites Ensure all items that have been made available for examination are examined Guarantee Brandon Hire Station locations have sufficient areas of storage/segregation for lifting and material handling equipment Complete annual calibration of workshop tools in allocated branches Thorough examination and calibration of all lifting testing equipment in lifting specialist branches (test gantries, load cells and Verniers etc.) Annual thorough examination of warehouse racking in allocated branches Willingness to undertake training as required to ensure safety of branch facilities going forward (e.g. roller shutters) Ensuring records of all reports are made available to the business as and when required What We’re Looking For Sound understanding of compliance and HSE regulations LEEA Foundation Certificate – Essential Willingness to complete further LEEA certification Excellent communication skills Ability to forge, develop and maintain sound working relationships Practical knowledge/experience of general lifting and material handling equipment Practical knowledge/experience of low level access machines – Preferable Full LEEA qualifications (or similar, LEG and LMM diplomas) – Preferable Valid driving licence What We Can Offer You Competitive salary Competitive annual bonus scheme Salary sacrifice pension 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays Additional holiday purchase scheme Free Tool Hire Life Assurance cover 3x salary Share save scheme Eye care vouchers Recommend a friend scheme Learning & Development – commitment to upskilling and developing our people, structured in house training available alongside external training where required Cycle to work scheme Long service recognition My Vp discounts – a variety of discounts and rewards on thousands of well-known brands Discounts on HP products EE mobile contract discount offers Gym discounts Health Shield (discounted premiums on health care cash plan) Regit Assist 24/7 accident helpline – free joining A Little Bit About Us Brandon Hire Station is the leading provider of tool and equipment hire in the UK.
