To support cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac/vascular and electrophysiological procedures in the cath lab. This includes setting up and operating imaging equipment, administering moderate sedation, monitoring hemodynamics, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. The role also involves maintaining equipment, conducting research, and providing education to patients and team members.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Setting up sterile tables and connecting physiologic monitoring equipment
  • Interpreting EKGs, hemodynamic and procedural results/outcomes
  • Communicating effectively with physicians, team members, and vendors
  • Updating knowledge and skills in line with equipment changes
  • Maintaining digital archiving systems for patient images
  • Ensuring equipment safety and promptly reporting malfunctions
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues and accessing archived images
  • Providing care to patients undergoing coronary invasive procedures and documenting care provided
