seeking a Hospice and Palliative Care Physician to join our innovative, dynamic, rapidly growing Supportive, Palliative Care, and Hospice Program with planned expansion across the continuum of care.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

  • Split position: 0.4 FTE Hospice, and 0.4 FTE Palliative. Total of 0.8 FTE.
  • The palliative care position will include both inpatient as well as outpatient palliative care with the opportunity to help further develop outpatient and community based palliative care.
  • The hospice position will include inter-disciplinary team meetings, rounding at Hospice House, making home visits, and completing hospice certifications.
  • The hospice program encompasses three sites with a total average daily census of 270. You will join a practice that includes two full-time MDs and five nurse practitioners.
  • In Palliative Care, you will join a team of two full-time physicians, two part-time physicians and three nurse practitioners. The size of this team is expected to grow over the next several years as we expand our outpatient presence.
  • You will be expected to participate in the hospice and palliative call schedule. The amount of call will be based on FTE. Call is currently taken from home.
  • Leadership development opportunities are available if interested.

REQUIREMENTS

•BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Significant experience in palliative medicine, oncology, hospice, or geriatrics also considered.

•Open to consideration of dual appointments (for example, hospitalist, primary care)
