Job Description
Come join one of the most talented and fastest growing Data Engineering & Platform teams in Q2-Helix where there is no end to the learning opportunities available to you. As the lead of the Data Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the overall team's execution including processes to ensure a consistent and optimal use of our data technologies for various customer facing applications. This is a "hands-on" position requiring very effective technical skills, leadership skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Work on software development (data) projects within different disciplines which influences multiple areas of the business
- Work closely with the product manager, business analyst, and architect to develop the technical design and solutions
- Analyze, code, test, implement, and update existing or new data platform engineering solutions
- Coordinate with other team members and provide the tangible end-product
- Use a process-driven method to approach design solutions
- Work collectively with the product owner, program leadership, and others and support them in resolving hitching issues
- Develop/design data models, data flows, and integration patterns for the data systems, like data warehouse, databases, data lake, and usage data layers.
- Collaborate with fellow data engineers and other architects in building and developing conceptual, logical, and physical models
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
- A minimum of 10+ experience
- Strong experience on data modeling for Snowflake
- Strong Experience in development of Lake House Architecture using Snowflake, DBT
- Strong experience in using DBT (design & implementation, Infrastructure maintenance)
- Experience in migrating Microsoft DW to a Lakehouse solution
- Experience in Docker/Containers
- Experience with CI/CD for source control
- Experience with JIRA
- Thoughtspot experience is a plus.
- Experience with Airflow, Python, and SQL
- Technical proficiency with standards-based data engineering tools
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud and its data platforms offerings
• Experience in FINTECH/ Banking as a Service or relevant area
