ob Summary

We are searching for an individual to join our team and learn to groom. As a Dog Bather - Groomer trainee, you will learn how to properly bathe dogs, do their nails, brush their teeth and de-shed their coat. Once you have been trained in bathing we will then teach you how to do complete grooms including: removing mats in fur, scissor work, clipper work, sanitary-trims, paw pads, nail painting, and much more according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. Through our training process you will become a certified groomer This is a ground floor opportunity to learn a career and earn a good income. What you will learn:

Brush and detangle or remove matted fur

Bathe dogs and dry coat

Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests

Examine for parasites or other skin conditions

Trim nails

Ensure the safety of dogs at all times

Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures

Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

Qualifications

Comfortable working with anxious animals

Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs up to 50 pounds

Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education

Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners

Strong attention to detail
