VCA Blue Cross Animal Hospital is in need of a full time Veterinary Assistant, experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate. Our busy 5 doctor practice is looking for a candidate that is client-oriented, possesses superior communication skills, and will be in support of our team approach within the workplace. Candidate must be able to work a flexible scheduled including Saturdays and evenings. Responsibilities Taking patient history Clean exam rooms and treatment area Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations Keep accurate records and logs Stocking exam rooms and treatment area. Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments Ensuring a timely appointment flow Skills Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar position working with animals Experience in an administrative role is a plus Excellent communication skills Patient and caring personality Ability to follow instructions properly Ability to meet the physical demands of the job If you are a current associate, you will need to apply through our internal career site.
