Under limited supervision, collaborates with members of the healthcare team, may be required to attend rounds and independently provides optimal nutrition care to patients at high nutrition risk based on own knowledge and clinical skills. Able to work as part of the team to participate in education, training, and expertise as a professional resource to members of the healthcare team, nutritionists, dietetic interns, and dietetic technicians to advance their development in the field. Working within a matrix organization to identify resources for patients and division to support the nutrition needs of the program; and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field required.
- Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) required.
- Current licensure in the state of Maryland as a Dietitian/Nutritionist required.
- Clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian at a hospital facility. Will consider experience during in non-hospital facility especially within Pediatric or GI related areas/populations.
- Prior completion of a Specialty Fellowship Program or Specialty Certification: e.g. CNSC, CDE, CSR, CSP, CSO, IBCLC. 6. Commitment to working independently and building a strong, successful nutrition program within the Division of Pediatric GI.
