Description: Large, well known GC is looking to add two Project Engineers to their Phoenix branch for commercial construction projects specifically within multifamily. Projects could range from multifamily, healthcare, and/or potentially warehouse logistics. As a Project Engineer, these individuals will execute core tasks that are critical to project operations. They will partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to deliver successful construction projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Guide the flow of technical information between Owner, Designers, Subcontractors and W.E. O’Neil, such as project drawings, specifications, meeting minutes, and proposal requests. -Drive the procurement schedule by tracking, processing, and expediting all subcontractor/vendor shop drawings and submittals. -Support the project team by helping to develop and maintain the project schedule, by verifying the quality of products installed, and by acting as a subject matter expert in your assigned responsibilities. -Apply critical thinking to resolve contract document issues in the field. Additional Skills & Qualifications: -4-year college degree, preferably in construction management or construction related fields OR substantial amount of relevant experience as a PE -2+ years of experience as a project engineer for a general contractor or construction management firm preferred -Strong interpersonal and communications skills -Strong desire to learn, and you strive for increased responsibility. -Passionate about taking initiative and making an impact. -Seeks variety in work and exposure to different projects and disciplines. -Energized when surrounded by people with drive, skills, and passion to succeed. -Motivated by opportunities for career growth and development.
