HealthCare Support is actively seeking a MRI Techto fill an opening in Minot, North Dakota.

Daily Responsibilities for MRI Tech:
  • Ensures optimal functionality of the equipment in the MR exam rooms.
  • Efficiently prepare for and perform all MR procedures as directed.
  • Be responsible for having correct supplies as needed.
  • Assist in the required image processing, paperwork, and quality control for the department.
  • Be responsible for the general upkeep of the MR department, such as cleaning and stocking supplies.
  • Be knowledgeable in all policies, procedures and quality assurance of this area and have a general knowledge of the quality assurance indicators in all areas of the Radiology Department.
  • Keep abreast of the current technology and be able to function properly in all situations including emergencies.
  • Works under the supervision of the department director in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, supervising, and documenting the care of patients.
  • Positions patients for exams to obtain optimal image quality.
  • Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Positions equipment and sets technical factors to obtain optimal studies.
  • Knowledge of safe MRI practices.
  • Under the direction of Radiologist or attending physician prepares and/or administers oral and IV contrast material.
  • Utilizes teleradiology equipment as needed.
  • Utilizes hospital information system and radiology information system as required for charges and proper patient status.
  • Performs MR studies to produce images of high quality and shows ability to operate MR Scanner independently. Also shows capability of operating CT workstation appropriately and independently.
  • Performs MRI to produce cross-sectional images of patient part for diagnostic purposes.
  • Interviews patient to explain MRI imaging procedures to review contraindications of MRI scanning and to request removal of metal objects which are hazardous to the patient and equipment in the vicinity of the magnet. Is responsible for monitoring all persons entering magnet area to ensure personal safety and protection of the scanner. Produces images of high quality and processes for the Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Is knowledgeable of departmental and corporate-wide quality improvement indicators and their recent performance.
  • Is aware of differences in developmental needs based on the patient population served and interacts with the patient accordingly.
  • Adherence to all of Trinity Health policies and procedures, including regular, timely, and consistent attendance, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Varied shifts 7am to 5pm Mon - Fri
Occasional weekend coverage 8am - 5pm
No Call

Required Qualifications for MRI Tech:
  • MR registered or registry pending
  • NDMIRTBE licensed
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist or registry eligible Radiologic Technologist
  • Advanced education in MR; Registered in MR preferred

Pay Details: $79.83/hour
