A national law firm is South Carolina is currently seeking a Litigation Technologist to join their growing team in Columbia. In this role, the Litigation Technologist (e-Discovery Analyst) will be responsible for serving as an advisor and/or consultant to Attorneys and their clients regarding automation & data needs as well as meeting with Attorneys and clients to analyze case needs and determine appropriate case technology plans.

Responsibilities:

The Litigation Technologist (e-Discovery Analyst) will:

  • Prepare recommendations and project plans for acquiring and implementing recommended solutions
  • Handle day-to-day technical management of client data from a data tracking perspective between platforms as well as loading into review databases and running productions post-attorney review
  • Set up attorney review processes from a technical perspective while coordinating with the case project manager and attorney teams
  • Define business and technical requirements for specific case matters and then develops and/or coordinates the development of specialized databases or programs
  • Assist with preparing manuals and instruction materials for training personnel in litigation tools and processes and provides training when appropriate, especially with vendor-provided tools
  • Diagnose and correct system and network problems related to litigation services tools and serve as a technical liaison to appropriate vendors
  • Work with members of other technology groups at firm to resolve technical problems that may arise
  • Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in Litigation Support
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Relativity and/or other e-discovery and Litigation Support platforms
  • Knowledge of other technologies and utilities such as text file editors, SFTP clients, encryption software, data conversion tools, etc.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge with standard concepts, practices and procedures within an e-discovery team or IT department
