CAD Technician Job Details Job Location Boswell Engineering NJ - South Hackensack, NJ Job Category Design Description The Underwater department is seeking a CAD Technician. In this role you will be a technology advocate. You must possess an engineering background with a concentration on technology and applicable software along with a passion for technology and learning. Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for serving as primary departmental resource for CAD drafting/modeling at the project level CAD drafting/modeling will be performed in a manner which adheres to accepted engineering practices and standards, as well as company standards Assist in the development, implementation and deployment of CAD drafting/modeling and survey standards on a departmental level, as directed Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to produce quality drawings Make drawing edits based on mark ups from client and/or Engineers Create and/or modify base drawings Be relied on as productive team member and CAD user to work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output that conforms to company or client standards Be able to work on multiple projects at the same time Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: Applicable Certification/Technical Trainings with 3+ years of experience in in CAD drafting/modeling at the project level Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong software troubleshooting skills CAD Standards checking Strong knowledge of PCs and networking Excellent verbal and written communication skills PE/FE/EIT certification is a plus Knowledge of survey data collection workflows is a plus Possess a strong technical and communication skills.
