About the Role: Engenium is searching for an experienced Government Contract Specialist/Business Administrator to join our client; who will be the go-to expert in government contract management and help support key business functions like intellectual property and business administration. If you have a knack for navigating the complexities of government contracts-especially with the Department of Energy-and are excited about taking on a dynamic role, we'd love to hear from you
What You'll Do:
Government Contract Management (Primary):
- Review and evaluate government grant opportunities.
- Compile and submit proposals, ensuring alignment with Funding Opportunity Announcements.
- Lead contract award negotiations and manage ongoing contract administration.
- Oversee subcontractor communication and ensure compliance in government databases.
- Administer business insurance renewals, certificates, inspections, and licenses.
- Help manage compliance tasks, including cyber/IT and Microsoft admin tasks.
- Ensure business licenses and regulatory requirements are up to date.
- Manage patent applications and intellectual property documents.
- Track and organize IP-related agreements, such as NDAs.
- Experience managing government contracts (cooperative agreements/SBIR contracts)-DOE experience is a big plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and grow in areas like intellectual property and business admin.
- Familiarity with intellectual property processes.
- A background in business administration, finance, or related fields.
- Experience in HR or finance tasks, like payroll and benefits admin.
