Our team members should be ready to:
  • Let your passion for pets and veterinary care shine every day.
  • Grow as a professional and encourage the growth of others.
  • Greet all clients with a cheerful greeting; answer phones; take messages, and answer basic client questions.
  • Know the range of services the practice provides and the species it treats; advise clients/recommend services for their pets.
  • Differentiate and prioritize between routine and emergency cases and alert staff accordingly.
  • Be familiar with infectious and common zoonotic diseases, including prevention, and the steps to reduce or eliminate transmission.
  • Maintain medical records
  • Handle all cash transactions, including deposits and invoicing.
  • Be willing to be part of a workplace where genuinely appreciating each other is more than some motivational poster on the wall.

Veterinary Front Office Qualifications
  • Advanced animal care, client/customer interaction, and receptionist experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possess a good attitude and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use medical abbreviations.
