Perform under supervision a variety of routine and advanced technical duties related to preparing and dispensing drugs in accordance with standard procedures and techniques.

Duties
  • Retrieve and interpret medication orders
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations, taking into account patient and drug characteristics
  • Enter medication orders into a pharmacy computer system for pharmacist's review
  • Label and fill medication to the appropriate patient
  • Receive and triage information requests; research and provide information where appropriate; refer other inquires to the pharmacist
  • Inventory, order, receive, and stock drugs and supplies
  • Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock and patient areas; discard or return to stock as appropriate; complete corresponding documentation
  • Assist other technicians in performing complex procedures and/or calculations as required
  • Performs related work as assigned
  • Supports and executes the mission, ethics, and goals of the company effectively
    • Represents themselves in a positive and professional manner in the company and community
    • Adheres to dress code with a clean and neat professional appearance
    • Reports on time and as scheduled in order to complete work within the designated time
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, Employees Agreement, or communicated from the executive team
