Sentara Northern VA Medical Center is hiring a PRN/Flex MRI Technologist for the Rotating Shift

  • Performs MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient, and completes departmental documentation.

  • Required License: CNMT or ARDMS or ARRT or ARMRIT

  • Required Experience : 1 year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound preferred.

  • Required Education: Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of 24 month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience. Six months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program preferred. Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions).

Job Summary

Performs MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient, and completes departmental documentation.

1 year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound preferred.
